Terms of Service
Last updated: 16 August 2026
1. What this is
Convert2EPUB converts PDF files into EPUB e-books. It is operated by Tutku Tashkan. These Terms govern your use of the Service. By uploading a file or using the Service, you accept them.
2. Accounts
Free Standard conversion of ordinary text PDFs does not require an account. An account is required when a conversion uses credits, and keeps your credit balance and conversion history. A file you upload is used to produce the converted book and is deleted automatically afterwards; signing in does not turn the PDF or EPUB into permanent cloud storage. See our Privacy Policy for the retention details.
3. What you're allowed to upload
You may only submit a file if:
- you own it, or you otherwise have the legal right to convert it into another format;
- doing so doesn't infringe anyone's copyright, and doesn't bypass any digital rights management (DRM) or other access-control system protecting the file;
- it isn't unlawful content in the jurisdiction you're in or ours.
We don't review what you upload before it's converted. If we become aware a file was submitted in breach of this section, we may refuse to process it, delete it immediately, and refuse further service.
4. How pricing works
Convert2EPUB uses prepaid credits instead of charging separately for each book. Ordinary text pages and Fixed Layout are free with Standard. Recovering an existing scan text layer or running requested OCR uses one credit per worked page. Pro conversion uses two credits for every PDF page. The required amount is shown before a conversion starts.
Each account receives 50 promotional credits once. Additional credits are sold in the packs displayed on the Pricing section: 400 credits for $5, 1,000 credits for $10, and 2,500 credits for $20.
Credits are linked to your account, are not transferable, cannot be exchanged for cash, and do not expire while the account remains open. The required credits are reserved before conversion begins, consumed when the EPUB is produced, and returned automatically if the conversion fails. Credit-pack prices are confirmed again before purchase in Stripe Checkout.
5. Refunds
Failed conversions return their reserved credits automatically. For a problem with a credit-pack purchase, contact tashkanbusiness@gmail.com with the Stripe receipt or payment reference.
Nothing in this section limits any statutory right you have as a consumer, including your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 in respect of digital content that is faulty or not as described.
6. No guarantee of a perfect conversion
We convert on a best-effort basis. Some PDFs, heavily formatted documents, books that are mostly mathematics, low-quality scans do not reflow cleanly into an e-book no matter what tool is used, and the Service will fall back to a fixed-layout book (the pages kept as images) rather than fail outright. We don't guarantee any particular level of accuracy, formatting fidelity, or that OCR will correctly recognise every page of a scan.
7. Availability
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without any uptime guarantee. We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of it at any time. We'll try not to do that to something you've already paid for and not yet received, see the refund section above.
8. Your content, our tooling
You keep all rights to whatever you upload and to the book that comes out the other end. We claim no ownership over it. In turn, the Convert2EPUB name, the website, and the software that performs the conversion belong to us and aren't licensed to you beyond what's needed to use the Service normally.
9. Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the Service, and our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the conversion giving rise to it (or, if you didn't pay anything, a nominal amount). Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, for example, liability for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time; the date at the top of this page will change when we do. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the update. If a change is material, we'll try to make that obvious on the site itself rather than relying on you to check back here.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and any dispute arising from them is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, unless you're a consumer living elsewhere in the UK or the EU, in which case mandatory local consumer-protection law still applies to you regardless of this clause.
